The professional wrestling world is in shock today after Vince McMahon announced he would be stepping down from day-to-day operations in World Wrestling Entertainment. Reportedly, being the owner of this pro wrestling juggernaut for just under 40 years has left him rather burnt out on the wrestling business. Refusing to drop the company down to his son Shane due to his resignation which was announced this past October, as well as not handing it over to his daughter Stephanie McMahon alongside her husband Paul Levesque, otherwise known as Triple H in the WWE, due to her departure this past April and the addition of Paul vehemently refusing to take the company. In an interview when asked about the decision Vince made and whether he'd accept the company, responded with the following:
"Quite frankly, it would be criminal to take the reigns of this company while I am still active.....when and if there comes a day I retire, that may change.....Vince was a great owner, and I wouldn't be able to follow his footsteps if I took over now."
In light of this, Vince made his official decision this past week that while he would maintain ownership of the company, he would be away from the wrestling business entirely and has appointed a committee to run the booking team. While the full team has yet to be confirmed, reports have had names such as Arn Anderson, Jim Ross, and Pat Patterson thrown around. One such name was Paul Heyman, who was formerly the head writer of WWE Smackdown from 2002-2004, however he has gone on to deny those rumors, citing a freshly-minted contract with Total Nonstop Action as what prevents him from joining the WWE.
Also joining the rumors is the movement of multiple writers from each show, one name in particular standing out as Chris Wheeler, a writer who was originally signed for ECW that was reportedly responsible for the program's successes from 2008 to 2009. While it has not been confirmed if he will be on the booking committee, management was reportedly very high on his work beforehand when in ECW, so it would be no surprise if he was named as a member. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In more professional wrestling news, it was confirmed today that WWE Superstars and, more importantly, the revitalized "WWECW" as dubbed by fans would be cancelled, effective immediately. This, combined with the news of a re-draft in the works for the brand split (complete with every title being vacated ahead of time), has led to a very interesting dynamic within the WWE of how serious the brand split would be taken, as within the past few years it has faded away, with PPVs being co-branded along with more and more superstars freely jumping ship between brands. The draft is reportedly set to happen behind closed doors prior to this Monday's RAW. The draft results, once completed will be posted onto WWE.com, along with superstar reactions to the re-draft and the new opportunities given to them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WWE have officially released the following talents:
Abraham Washington
Courtney Taylor
we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WWE have officially hired the following talents, all of which set to report down to FCW immediately:
Adam Cole Jesse White (Vader's son) Jillian Beyor Joe Anoa'i Jonathan Gresham Gunner Eudy (Sid Vicious' son) Mattias Clement Peter Avalon Reid Flair Richie Steamboat (Ricky Steamboat's son) Rob Eckos Amy Hennig (Curt Hennig's daughter) Asher Knight Dakota Darsow (Demolition Smash's son) Mike Sydal (brother of Evan Bourne) Tenille Tayla Tron Tyler Fullington (The Sandman's son) Steve Slocum Tiger Raj Singh (The Great Gama Singh's nephew) George Murdoch Shaun Ricker Tony Nese Mike Bennett Tommaso Ciampa Brent Wellington CJ Parker Rick Victor Larry Sweeney --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: hoo boy...this took a while to write out. Honestly I had a lot of fun trying to get all of this info into one post. Draft will go up sometime tomorrow hopefully, I just am too tired to do it now. Hopefully y'all enjoy this TEW save idea, I haven't done a run of WWE in this time period in a long, long time.

Monday Night Raw results
The show opened up with Vickie Guerrero coming out. After spouting off her catchphrase, she told the WWE Universe that she was appointed as the general manager of Monday Night Raw, and promises to be a “fair, honest, and respectable general manager” before walking off.
Tyler Reks defeated Eric Escobar in 7:41 after hitting the Burning Hammer. Escobar looked good even in defeat, however.
Chris Masters defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in 6:51 in a dominating performance, winning after locking in the Masterlock on Jimmy.
The camera cuts backstage to a distraught-looking CM Punk, who vents about how his fellow “Straight Edge Savior”, Luke Gallows, was drafted to Smackdown while he is “stuck” on Raw. A hand rests on Punk’s shoulder, and as he shoots to his feet it’s shown to be Triple H, who claims he can relate to losing a friend in the draft due to Shawn Michaels being sent to Smackdown. Unlike Punk, however, he doesn’t need to mope about losing him since he knows he can do it on his own. Punk takes offense to it, claiming that Triple H needs Shawn Michaels to hide the fact that he is well past his glory days, and HHH challenges out for a match tonight to prove it. Punk accepts, and walks off to prepare for the match away from the “alcoholic hypocrites” surrounding him.
Natalya Neidhart defeated Savannah in 7:11 after making her tap to the Sharpshooter.
Tommy Dreamer defeated Charlie Haas in 12:03 after hitting the Dreamer Driver in a surprisingly back-and-forth matchup.
Backstage, John Cena is interviewed by Josh Matthews who asks him his thoughts on the draft earlier in the day. Cena responds by saying that although he doesn’t blame Vickie for drafting all of Legacy, given how cowards run together, he still refuses to allow Randy Orton and his posse to act out on Raw like they own the place and promises to bring the fight to Legacy.
Mike Knox defeated Mark Henry in 7:40 after hitting a Swinging Reverse STO, called by Joey Styles as the “Knox Out”. Throughout the match, Henry maintained control for a good part of it, and only really lost that control when the end of the match was happening.
In the main event, Triple H defeated CM Punk by disqualification following an assault by Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr, who ran down and beat HHH down right as he was attempting The Pedigree. After the bell rang, Rhodes and DiBiase continued beating down on HHH, but John Cena then ran out and hit the ring. He cleaned house, clotheslining Cody over the top rope as Ted rolled out of the ring afterwards, and helped Triple H to his feet, the two standing tall over a foiled attack by The Legacy to close the show.
Friday, Week 1, November 2009
It has been announced that with a new roster and new brand split, comes a new home for Friday Night Smackdown! The show will be moving to the USA Network come February of 2010 due to the greater audience that the network reaches.
Friday, Week 1, November 2009
Friday Night Smackdown results
The show opened with Teddy Long coming out and, like Vickie this past Monday, announced himself as the general manager of Smackdown. Before he could say much else, Chris Jericho came out and confronted Teddy, demanding that either he be traded to Raw or Big Show be traded to Smackdown as “the split of Jeri-Show is the biggest tragedy to have befell the WWE.” Before Teddy could refuse this, Matt Hardy came out and agreed with Jericho, saying he was a waste of a top 10 draft pick and that they could’ve gotten somebody like Kofi Kingston or Triple H. Jericho snaps at the mention of HHH, saying he already has one headache to deal with in the form of Shawn Michaels, but before anything else happens they both get stopped by Teddy Long. He states there are no trades happening between brands, and that tonight’s main event will be Chris Jericho vs Matt Hardy.
The Dudebusters defeated Primo and Jamie Noble in 7:44 after they hit an assisted Yakuza Kick onto Noble.
Luke Gallows defeated Slam Master J in 7:28 in a dominating performance, capped off by a Bicycle Kick to the head.
Backstage, Drew McIntyre was interviewed by Todd Grisham about how he felt being taken so low in the draft. McIntyre claimed it didn’t matter if he went in the top 10, top 20, top 30, etcetera since he was still Vince’s chosen one, THE last chosen one of the former chairman of WWE and he will prove why Vince saw him as a superstar when he wins the World Heavyweight Championship.
Vance Archer defeated Yoshi Tatsu in 9:33 with a Moonsault. While Archer did get a good amount of offense, it was by no means a squash as Tatsu held his own and even nearly had the victory at one point following his rolling snapmare into soccer ball kick.
In Teddy Long’s office, the GM is in the process of removing Vickie Guerrero’s old belongings from when she ran the blue brand when in walks Batista. He talks to Teddy about the draft, trying to praise his choices of who he took in the top 10, but then asked why he wasn’t one of those guys. Teddy simply puts it that Batista “didn’t earn” a top 10 spot when it came for draft time. Batista, insulted by this, demanded a match tonight to prove why Long made a mistake, and Long grants it, provided the match is next.
Batista defeated Finlay in 12:05 with a Batista Bomb. The two had great in-ring chemistry, making the match flow well and hiding any weaknesses the two had.
Backstage, The Miz interrupted Todd Grisham’s hyping of the main event and stole the microphone before cutting a promo about how stoked he is to be back on Smackdown. He reminds the fans how it has been 3 years since he was last exclusively on the blue brand, and a lot has changed since then. He caps it off by promising to win the World Heavyweight Title “on the brand where the Awesomeness truly began” before shoving the mic back at Todd Grisham.
In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated Matt Hardy in 14:31 with a Codebreaker in a rather clumsy match, considering who was in it. A few spots didn’t necessarily connect well, as the two just didn’t seem to click. The show ended with Jericho standing tall in his clean victory over Hardy.

Monday, Week 2, November 2009Monday Night Raw resultsThe show opened with a match where Tyler Reks defeated Charlie Haas in 10:25 with the Burning Hammer. Backstage we saw Dolph Ziggler interviewed by Josh Matthews about his match later on tonight against Rey Mysterio. Ziggler confidently told Matthews he had nothing to worry about with that pipsqueak, and it’d be an easy victory for him. Melina defeated Rosa Mendes in 7:36 with a Leg Trap Sunset Bomb. Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero in 8:24 after hitting the Air Bourne. Backstage, Laycool are seen talking amongst themselves about the draft, as well as being glad they no longer are on the same brand as that “Piggy James” when in walks a new girl… She introduces herself as Angelina to the two, and immediately hits it off with Michelle, the two chatting it up while Layla watches for a few seconds until interrupting, accusing her of some deviousness. She laughs it off though, saying there’s nothing bad about what she is doing, at least to these two flawless women. The Big Show defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in 4:10 with the KO Punch in a match that, even with its length, was rather well executed. Jimmy and Show blended extremely well in the match and it made the dominating performance by Show look even more destructive as a result. Backstage, Tyler Reks is seen undoing his wrist tape from his match earlier in the night, and almost looks ready to leave for the night when a sudden Whoosh sounds off, and The Hurricane appears from out of nowhere. He stops Reks from leaving, saying that he liked what he did out in the ring. Reks takes the compliment and goes to leave, but Hurricane once again stops him, saying that he believes Reks mistook what he was saying. Going more blunt with it, he tells Reks that the resident superhero is looking for a tag team partner, and offers Reks the position of being a “Hurri-Sidekick”. Reks looks Hurricane over, and doesn’t give a response, simply leaving with his bags. Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler in 12:53 with the 619 (Droppin’ The Dime). The match, whilst it suffered in terms of psychology as it was more of a spotfest than a full-on match, was still rather good as the two performers synched together well in the ring. Once the match ends, Rey’s celebration is cut short as a graphic is shown hyping the main event of the night: John Cena and Triple H vs The Legacy. In the main event, The Legacy defeated John Cena and Triple H in 15:17, with Rhodes rolling Cena up following a distraction from Randy Orton. The show ended on The Legacy standing on the ramp in celebration while Cena sat in the ring, upset at the roll up, and Triple H standing inside the ring goading The Legacy to attack him like last week. Tuesday, Week 2, November 2009It has been reported on WWE.com that, during his matchup with Chavo Guerrero this past episode of Monday Night Raw, Evan Bourne suffered a broken cheekbone mid-match. After being looked over, he has been given the OK to continue wrestling, but was told to take it easy for the next few days in order to avoid aggravating the injury. Friday, Week 2, November 2009Friday Night Smackdown resultsThe show opens in Teddy Long’s office, him ready to enjoy the show when there is a knock at the door. In comes William Regal, who talks to Theodore about the title situation and how he feels that he would make for a great United States Champion, and surprisingly enough, Teddy agrees. Regal assumes the match will happen tonight, but Long instead tells him that if he wants the title match to happen next week, he will have to beat The Undertaker, one on one, tonight! Regal hesitates in berating him, instead simply sucking it up and taking his leave. Ezekiel Jackson defeated Slam Master J in 4:01 in a dominating performance, finishing off with a Urnanage that Matt Striker called “The Book of Ezekiel” for the 3 count. Vance Archer defeated Primo in 6:26 with a reverse DDT after dominating most of the match, only allowing for one small hope spot. Backstage, The Dudebusters were interviewed by Todd Grisham about their victory last week and how they view themselves in the Smackdown Tag Team division. Caylen answered first, telling Todd that The Dudebusters would be threats in the newly-formed division, which was followed by Trent who told him that before long, they’d be holding the WWE Tag Team Championships. Zack Ryder defeated Kung Fu Naki in 6:55, using a new finisher while doing so. The leaping leg lariat he used was dubbed “The Rough Ryder” by Michael Cole once he used it to cap off a dominating re-debut to the blue brand. Backstage, Christian cut a promo in which he berated Batista for his reaction to the draft last week, calling him out for complaining about being taken so low when, back in 2005, he was the very last pick in the draft. He followed up by saying that, of course, that was back when Batista was more of an animal and less of the drama queen that he is now. John Morrison defeated Paul Burchill in 13:24 with Starship Pain in a hotly contested matchup. Paul and Katie Lea really synched together well during the match, almost effortlessly coordinating when Katie would interfere and when Paul would need to act in her stead. Drew McIntyre defeated Montel Vontavious Porter in 11:03 with the Future Shock in a back-and-forth match. Backstage, Chris Jericho is seen watching Drew celebrate his win when Shawn Michaels comes to confront him. The two argue, namely about Jericho’s namedrop of Triple H last week, and while the two obviously have bad blood to work through, they are civil enough to not come to blows. In the main event, The Undertaker defeated William Regal in 12:56 with the Tombstone Piledriver, Undertaker’s celebration being what closed the show. (OOC: Feel free to comment on this stuff, let me know if you find anything interesting about the save, w/e)

Monday Night Raw results
The show opened with Randy Orton coming out, bragging about how his fellow members of The Legacy took down Triple H and John Cena last week, and then talked about how he would be the WWE Champion. Before he said anything else, John Cena came out and began arguing with him, keeping true to his claim that he would prevent Orton from ever being WWE Champion again. The two continued like this back and forth until Orton left, leaving the promise of him becoming WWE Champion come Survivor Series.
Kofi Kingston defeated Carlito in 9:48 with the Trouble in Paradise.
Angelina defeated Savannah in 5:39 with a Bicycle Kick that was dubbed on commentary as the “Botox Injection”.
Backstage, Tyler Reks was seen sitting in the locker room, mulling over the offer given to him last week by The Hurricane. Not giving any answer to the audience, he simply stood up and left to close the segment.
Vladimir Kozlov defeated The Great Khali in 4:04 with the Iron Curtain. The bout saw Kozlov get all of the offense in once he broke past Khali’s initial flurry, which looked rather weird during the match, as did most of the match when it came to what Khali did in the ring. He looked off, which made the match even worse than it should’ve been.
Backstage, Sheamus was interviewed by Josh Matthews about being drafted to Raw, which he replied by calling out Orton and Cena and saying that he, not anyone else, would be WWE Champion.
Ted DiBiase Jr defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in 6:39 with the Million Dollar Dream. The bout didn’t seem to flow well, as DiBiase and Yang just didn’t click in the ring.
CM Punk defeated Goldust in 9:17 with the Go 2 Sleep.
Backstage, Evan Bourne cut a promo in which he talked about the prestige that the Intercontinental Championship holds, and how once he is given the opportunity, he will enter himself into the same class as guys like Triple H, Steve Austin, Edge, and Shawn Michaels by winning the IC Title.
In the main event, Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger with the 619 (West Coast Pop). The match saw Rey and Swagger work pretty good as opponents, the two helping each other in the ring to be more exciting. After the match, Dolph Ziggler hit the ring and attacked Rey Mysterio, leading to a 2v1 beatdown that saw Ziggler and Swagger stand tall to end the show. Friday, Week 3, November 2009
Friday Night Smackdown results
In the show opener, Kane defeated JTG in 12:25 with a Tombstone Piledriver.
Shelton Benjamin defeated Lance Cade in 9:52 with the Paydirt. The match saw Lance look good even in defeat, nearly winning with the Paydirt coming as a counter to Lance’s finisher.
Backstage, Matt Hardy is set to be interviewed by Todd Grisham when The Miz walks onto the camera view. He patronizes Hardy, mocking him for losing to Chris Jericho even after being the ‘big hero’ by stopping his speech. Hardy dismisses Miz, saying that he hadn’t even had a match on Smackdown yet, which Miz does confirm, but follows up by saying he is saving his in-ring performances for matches that matter.
Mickie James defeated Alicia Fox in 10:30 with the Mick Kick.
Backstage, Santino Marella is seen in front of a camera that isn’t the one shooting him. After a few seconds, he corrects himself, and talks about how he is a “certified” World Heavyweight Title contender, and that now that there is no “John Chena” to compete with, he will step up to lead Smackdown to greatness.
Luke Gallows defeated R-Truth in 10:17 with a Bicycle Kick.
Backstage, Christian is seeming ready to address the crowd when Batista walks in and confronts Christian about his words towards him last week, calling him a hypocrite since Christian was taken not just in the top 10, but the top 5 of the draft. Christian does confirm that he was in the top 5, albeit barely, but still mocks Batista for his bitching last week, which nearly leads to a fight. Batista acts as the “smarter man” though and backs out.
In the main event, Shawn Michaels defeated Drew McIntyre in 18:08 with the Sweet Chin Music. The match, while a loss for him, was a great showcase for McIntyre, making sure to keep him looking as a future world champion throughout.

Backstage, Vickie is watching on as Natalya celebrates when various roster members come into the office one-by-one demanding to be included in the IC Title match, ranging from Ted DiBiase Jr to Charlie Haas to Goldust. In the main event, John Cena defeated The Big Show in 11:07 with the Attitude Adjustment. Cena initially went for the AA earlier, but Show proved too big and strong for him to maintain the lift, thus hurting his ribs during the match which Show exploited for the near-victory. The show ended on Cena standing tall, the fourth man in the Fatal 4-Way at Survivor Series. Tuesday, Week 4, November 2009

Survivor Series 2009 results
The PPV opened up with a music video highlighting tonight’s main event: John Cena vs Randy Orton vs Triple H vs CM Punk in a fatal 4-way match for the WWE Championship.
Luke Gallows defeated JTG in 9:56 with the Bicycle Kick. The two paired off well, adding some flavor to the match.
The team of Angelina, Layla, Michelle McCool, Natalya, and Beth Phoenix defeated the team of Brie and Nikki Bella, Kelly Kelly, Melina, and Savannah in 10:01. The elimination order was Savannah, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Layla, Natalya Neidhart, Melina, and finally Kelly Kelly, leaving Angelina, Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix as the survivors.
The Miz defeated Matt Hardy in 12:59 with a rollup, grabbing a handful of tights in the process.
Backstage, Chris Jericho is seen storming into Theodore Long’s office and demands to know why there is no World Heavyweight Title match tonight. Long tells him truthfully that he hadn’t determined two worthy contenders yet, and Jericho immediately jumps on that, saying he should be deserving for his performance against Matt Hardy. Long thinks it over, and tells Jericho he is in...and faces off against Shawn Michaels. Jericho goes to speak again, but is silenced by Long, who advises him to go prepare.
Evan Bourne won a battle royal also involving Carlito, Charlie Haas, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, David Hart Smith, Eric Escobar, Goldust, Jimmy Wang Yang, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Mike Knox, Ted DiBiase, The Great Khali, The Hurricane, Tommy Dreamer, Tyler Reks, Tyson Kidd, and Vladimir Kozlov in 14:35 to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. The final four consisted of Bourne, Rhodes, Kingston and DiBiase, with the last elimination being Cody Rhodes.
Drew McIntyre defeated John Morrison in 13:22 with the Future Shock to win the WWE United States Championship. The match featured excellent synergy between McIntyre and Morrison.
Backstage, John Cena was interviewed by Josh Matthews about tonight’s main event. He responded by saying he would do absolutely everything he could to prevent Randy Orton from winning the WWE Title, even if it meant going a bit...outside the rulebook to do so.

Key moments in the match included: All three other participants teaming up against Punk, HHH hitting the Pedigree onto Orton, only for Punk to try and steal the victory, Cena grabbing a chair and going to hit Orton but failing to have the will to do so, and CM Punk being AA’d through the announce table. The show closed out on Orton celebrating with the title, Cena looking distraught at failing at what he set out to do since the Draft.

Monday Night Raw results
The show opened with John Cena coming out and apologizing to the fans for allowing Randy Orton to walk out of Survivor Series as the WWE Champion. He says that he will be the one to end his reign before it spirals out of control, but then out comes CM Punk. Punk calls him a liar since he said he’d do ANYTHING it took to win, and yet when he had the chance to use a steel chair on Orton, he refused to do so. Cena then said at least he came close to winning the WWE Title, unlike Punk, who then responds by saying if everyone didn’t team up on him during the match it would’ve been a different story. Punk then challenges Cena to a match tonight, sounding confident in his victory. It is accepted, and Punk fakes an attack on Cena before leaving.
Tyler Reks defeated Carlito in 9:30 with a Burning Hammer.
Backstage, Ziggler and Swagger cut a promo on Rey, laughing at him for bringing back a ‘washed up has-been’ like RVD. They joke about how he is past his prime and that ECW closed down in 2000, before telling Rey his luck against the two of them is soon to run out.
Kelly Kelly defeated Natalya in 7:49 with a Legdrop Bulldog in a back-and-forth match.
Rob Van Dam defeated Eric Escobar in 6:43 with the Five Star Frog Splash.
Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston defeated The Legacy in 10:55 after Evan hit the Air Bourne onto Cody. The match was very back-and-forth, nobody maintaining control for long.
Triple H was interviewed by Josh Matthews about the match at Survivor Series, where he immediately called out Orton by saying at Armageddon, he will once again be on top of Raw.
In the main event, John Cena defeated CM Punk in 16:26 by disqualification after Mike Knox ran out and assaulted Cena. The match itself featured amazing in-ring chemistry between Cena and Punk, although it was cut short by the finish. The show concluded on Punk and Knox beating down Cena, with the two standing tall over him.

Friday Night Smackdown results
The show opened with Chris Jericho standing in the ring. He mouthed off on Theodore Long for giving him minimal preparation time for what should have been his victory of the World Heavyweight Championship, and that lack of prep time was what led to the “issue” Smackdown faces now. Out comes Shawn Michaels, who gloats about being the World Heavyweight Champion once again before then shooting down Chris, saying the only issue is that Jericho clearly isn’t as good of a wrestler as he believes he is, as if he was then there’d have been no issue with the lack of preparation. He then begins teasing who should be his first challenger, name-dropping The Undertaker, John Morrison, and The Miz before being interrupted by Batista. He claimed that he should be the first challenger due to defeating Christian last night, but before he gets further out comes Christian himself to stake his claim at the title. Him and Batista argue back and forth with Jericho chiming in, but before any decisions or fights can be made, out comes Teddy Long who announces tonight’s main event: Batista and Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels and Christian.
Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal in 10:15 with a Roundhouse Kick.
Backstage, Maryse was interviewed by Todd Grisham about how she will stack up in the Diva’s Division, to which she responded by claiming she was the best WOMAN on the roster, regardless of Raw or Smackdown.
Vance Archer defeated Santino Marella in 7:33 with a Moonsault.
After a commercial break, we come back to Drew McIntyre in the ring, the area decorated for his Championship Coronation. He starts off by giving “praise” to Morrison, calling him a decent challenge but then brushes right by that, saying it was only natural that he would become the United States Champion. Out comes John Morrison, who mocks McIntyre for having such an elaborate celebration for winning a title representing a country that he isn’t even from. Drew gives that point to Morrison, but responds by saying that the US needed outside help from Europe before to be founded, so it is only right that a European acts as the champion of the US. Morrison calls Drew out as a poor choice as the first US Champ since the brand split began again, and claims he will end the reign as swift as possible before leaving.
Trent Barreta defeated JTG in 8:46 with a Running Busaiku Knee, which Matt Striker dubbed as “The Gobstopper”.
Luke Gallows defeated Shelton Benjamin in 9:17 with a Bicycle Kick. The two of them had a few blown spots, mostly due to them not working well together in the ring.
Backstage, The Miz is interviewed by Todd Grisham about his victory last Sunday at Survivor Series. He brags about it being an easy victory, but before he can get any further he is cut off as Matt Hardy comes barrelling onto the set and tackles Miz to the ground, pummeling away at him. Security tries to break the two up, but Matt manages to fight them off briefly, buying enough time for him to throw Miz face-first into the wall of the set before being dragged off by security.
In the main event, Shawn Michaels and Christian defeated Chris Jericho and Batista in 13:33 after Shawn hit the Sweet Chin Music on Batista. The match definitely saw a few mishaps between Shawn and Christian as a tag team, but also seemed to lack based on how the heels were treated, the two of them having control for a solid portion of the match.

Monday, Week 1, January 2010
Big news in the world of professional wrestling today, as two new companies have joined the landscape.
EVOLVE Wrestling looks to bring a new major name to the Northeast indie scene, focusing heavily on a mixture between the exciting high-flying that has rocked the scene for years, as well as the much more technique-based wrestling that was heavily popular in the earlier days of professional wrestling. Owner Steve Karel is no stranger to the business, having been the general manager of the original ECW, as well as having founded the Urban Wrestling Federation many years ago.
Meanwhile, an all-female promotion has opened in Quebec that looks to bring more legitimacy to women’s wrestling. Owned by professional wrestler LuFisto, the promotion doesn’t seem to want to bring anything explicitly new to the table, but more so simply focus on getting the spotlight on different women wrestlers who haven’t had a chance in the big leagues like WWE, TNA or ROH.
Monday, Week 1, January 2010
Florida Championship Wrestling will be gaining two new roster members as of today.
The first of who is Andy Leavine, who is a direct graduate of the FCW Wrestling School. While promise is shown in him, especially regarding his skills on the mic and his brawling ability, it will take time to hone him into a better wrestler.
The second goes under the name of Alexander Rusev. While he may not be as good on the mic as Andy appears to be, he seems more well-rounded and with his young age comes time for him to grow as an athlete in the ring.
Monday, Week 1, January 2010
The WWE will now be showing their Pay-Per-View events in Australia. It was announced today that a deal had been made between WWE and Mainevent that their PPVs would be shown, albeit rather late at night.

The show opened on an in-ring promo from John Cena where he talked about how he has now failed to defeat Randy Orton and CM Punk, but calls out Punk’s victory as tainted due to the addition of Mike Knox to his ‘clique’. He looks up at the Wrestlemania sign hanging high above, but before he says anything more out comes CM Punk, who cuts him off completely by saying that nobody wants to hear Cena make another promise that he can’t keep. He then went on to say that it’d be him who wins the Royal Rumble, claiming that ‘if I can beat John Cena singlehandedly, then I can win the Royal Rumble match and save you all from yet another disappointment’. Following that, Rey Mysterio and RVD came out, and the two talked about how the only disappointment was how Punk resorted to cheating by the interference of Knox to defeat Cena. They don’t get to say much else as following them out are Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler, who continue to gloat about their victory over them at Armageddon. Following them out is Kofi Kingston, who tries to ease tensions between them all and says that it’ll all come down to the numbers drawn for who will win the Royal Rumble, but it is followed by Sheamus coming out and boldly declaring the numbers mean nothing since he will win his first Royal Rumble matchup. As a brawl is ready to break out…”EXCUSE ME!” is heard as Vickie Guerrero appears on the titantron to announce a 5v5 for tonight. Everyone in the ring is involved, and each side needs to find one more partner, which doesn’t take long as Punk says Mike Knox will join them while Kofi suggests to add Evan Bourne.

Out comes Triple H with a microphone in hand. Nothing is said however, as instead he hits Orton in the head with the mic and the two begin brawling. Kofi Kingston defeated David Hart Smith in 12:22 with the SOS after a great back-and-forth contest.
Backstage, CM Punk reprimanded Mike Knox in the locker room, saying how disappointed he was in Knox for taking the fall last week on Raw. He tells him there will be no punishment though, as Punk is already looking ahead to the Royal Rumble. He claims he will win it, making sure to eliminate John Cena in the process, and go on to headline Wrestlemania and win the WWE Championship.
In the main event, Big Show and Mark Henry fought to a double disqualification in 11:14 after both men attempted to hit the other with steel chairs. The brawl continued beyond that, the two beating the hell out of each other even with security trying to separate the two, briefly ending when Henry managed to lift Big Show up and dump him over the top rope. The show concluded with Big Show sliding back in and hitting the KO Punch on Henry, then tossing him over the top rope.

The show began with The Miz walking out to the ring and cutting a promo about the Royal Rumble match. He went over his own history in the match, with this year being his 4th Rumble match and the first one he will win. Following that, out comes Christian, who immediately reminds Miz that this is just going to end up like his other three attempts, another humiliation. Although, according to Christian, it won’t beat him being eliminated by Horneswoggle in 2008. Miz then reminds Christian of how many times he has failed, that regardless of if he comes out early, in the middle, or late that he will still lose just like the last 5 times. Miz then takes his leave, claiming he has preparations to do for the “after-party”.

Backstage, Batista cut a promo hyping himself as the odds-on favorite to win the Royal Rumble, regardless of others like Big Show, Mark Henry, Miz, and especially Christian.
In the main event, Shawn Michaels defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 12:30 with the Sweet Chin Music. The match saw Jackson look great even in defeat, but it was obvious about halfway through that he wasn’t lifting up Shawn with as much force as before, and held his upper back after a few of the major bumps.
After the match, Chris Jericho ran out and nailed Shawn with a Codebreaker, standing tall to close the show.

Backstage, Tyler Reks and The Hurricane had a segment where Reks celebrated his win over Swagger, Hurricane stopping him in order to try and teach him a lesson about being a sidekick: “Never forget how many opponents you have”. Backstage, Mark Henry was interviewed by Josh Matthews about last week’s match with The Big Show. Henry called Show out for the cowardly attack after he tossed him over the top rope, and if he does it again in the Rumble match, he’ll have no qualms with using his strength to destroy Show.

Friday Night Smackdown results
The show opened with Shawn Michaels coming out and talking about last week’s attack by Jericho. He says that, frankly, he is sick of how Chris constantly wants to impose himself into the title picture and that the only reason he is getting a title shot at Royal Rumble is because 1, there is nobody else for Shawn to face, and 2, the attack last week pissed him off enough that he wants to get revenge by kicking Jericho’s teeth down his throat.
Vance Archer defeated Shad Gaspard in 10:44 with a Reverse DDT.
Shelton Benjamin defeated William Regal in 9:28 with the Paydirt in a back-and-forth match.
Zack Ryder won a battle royal also involving Finlay, Jamie Noble, Kung Fu Naki, Lance Cade, Paul Burchill, Primo, Santino Marella, Slam Master J, and Yoshi Tatsu in 11:50 for a spot in the 2010 Royal Rumble match. The final four consisted of Ryder, Finlay, Burchill and Tatsu, with the final elimination being Tatsu.
After the match, Ryder celebrated his victory and entry into the Rumble match.
Backstage, Luke Gallows cut a promo announcing that he was entering the Royal Rumble both to win it, and to bring pain to everyone on the Raw and Smackdown roster.
Maryse and Katie Lea Burchill defeated Gail Kim and Mickie James in 7:31 after Maryse hit Mickie with a Heel Kick. The match was very back-and-forth, nobody lacking in offense.
Backstage, Drew McIntyre cut a promo where he hyped himself as soon-to-be not just the United States Champion, but also the Royal Rumble winner and then World Heavyweight Champion.
In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated R-Truth in 13:24 with the Codebreaker.

Monday Night Raw results
In the opening match, Evan Bourne defeated Mike Knox in 11:17 with the Air Bourne. Knox was made to look great in the match, Bourne selling like a champ for him.
Nikki Bella defeated Rosa Mendes in 6:37 with the Bella Buster.
Backstage, CM Punk entered into Vickie Guerrero’s office alongside Mike Knox and thanked her for the Royal Rumble spots. At first, Vickie is welcoming of this and give Punk good luck in the Rumble, but when he asks why no luck for Knox to make it to the final two with him, Vickie informs him that, since Knox lost to Bourne, it will be him in the Rumble match and not Knox. Punk is furious at this and demands Knox be added, but Vickie tells him there is only one more spot, and it will be won in a 15-man battle royal tonight, and since she was a man short, Mike Knox can fill that spot. Punk tells Knox that he better win in order to back him up in the Rumble, and he heads off to prepare.
Jack Swagger defeated The Hurricane in 9:44 with the Gutwrench Powerbomb.
Backstage, The Big Show was interviewed by Josh Matthews about the Royal Rumble match, and he declared himself as both the largest and strongest man in the match, and that he would destroy Mark Henry before going on to win his first Royal Rumble without the needs of controversy.
The Great Khali won a battle royal also involving Carlito, Charlie Haas, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, David Hart Smith, Eric Escobar, Goldust, Jimmy Wang Yang, Mike Knox, Ted DiBiase, Tommy Dreamer, Tyson Kidd, and Vladimir Kozlov in 12:04 for a spot in the 2010 Royal Rumble match. The final four consisted of The Great Khali, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Tommy Dreamer, with the final elimination being Cody. Within the match, Mike Knox was made to look even better than earlier, fighting as if he hadn’t competed before in the night and scoring three eliminations (Goldust, Masters and Chavo) before being eliminated just one spot away from the Final Four.
Backstage, Kofi Kingston cut a promo hyping himself up as the winner of this year’s Royal Rumble, claiming himself as a “dark horse” in the match, the one nobody expects to win but will pull it out in the end in order to headline Wrestlemania.
In the main event, John Cena/Kelly Kelly defeated Dolph Ziggler/Michelle McCool in 13:33 with Cena pinning Ziggler off of the Attitude Adjustment.
The show concluded with Cena celebrating with Kelly Kelly, pointing up at the Wrestlemania sign.
Wednesday, Week 4, January 2010
It has been reported that Victoria Crawford, otherwise known as Alicia Fox, has re-signed with the WWE for one year worth an estimated $68.400.
Friday, Week 4, January 2010
Friday Night Smackdown results
In the opening match, Shelton Benjamin defeated Caylen Croft in 9:41 with the Paydirt.
Backstage, The Miz entered Theodore Long’s office and congratulated him on a successful finding of a replacement for the final Rumble slot, before then asking him for who the other unknowns are. Long doesn’t give any names, claiming them as “confidential”. Miz then tries to pry for info, asking about any new signings, any big deals made by Smackdown, but then in walks Christian. He tells Miz to shut up about the unknowns, since if he is so worried about it then he should be spending more time prepping for the Rumble than for them. Before Miz can answer, Long interrupts and tells the two that, in order to get them into the Rumble mood, they will face off 1-on-1 tonight in the main event.
Yoshi Tatsu defeated Paul Burchill in 11:26 by DQ after Katie Lea Burchill attacked Tatsu.
After the bell, the Burchills assaulted Tatsu, kicking him while he was down.
Backstage, The Undertaker cut a promo on Batista, telling him there will be no cheap shots like a few weeks back when the two are face-to-face in the Royal Rumble match.
Trent Barreta defeated Finlay in 10:02 with the Gobstopper.
Chris Jericho was interviewed by Todd Grisham backstage about HBK’s claims last week. He told Todd that all Shawn is, is a hypocrite who refuses to see the truth that Jericho is simply not just the better wrestler, but the better man of the two.
During the segment, he somewhat-accidentally coined the phrase “Stupid Idiot” when describing Shawn Michaels, and when called on it by Todd Grisham he repeated it, the crowd responding surprisingly well to it.
In the main event, The Miz defeated Christian in 16:15 after rolling him up, grabbing the ropes for assistance. The show closed on Miz running up the ramp, Christian in the ring irritated at the cheating.
Sunday, Week 4, January 2010
It has been reported that Eve Torres has re-signed to the WWE for 2 years worth an estimated $175,200.
(OOC: stay tuned for the next post, as it will be time for the Royal Rumble! I will be doing that a bit differently, as instead of just going over results I will be doing a full-on write up of the titular match!)

Sunday, Week 4, January 2010
Tonight, thirty men will step into the Squared Circle for the promise of glory.
A golden ticket to be cashed in for the chance to headline Wrestlemania and place their names in the hall of other immortals to have won this clash.
Twenty Nine will fall, only to be remembered by the history books as the eliminated.
One individual, however, will live their dreams and be one step closer to the Grandest Stage Of Them All.
With the biggest match of the year upon us, only one question rings out:
Who Will Be...The One?
ROYAL RUMBLE 2010 results
In the opening match, Paul Burchill defeated Yoshi Tatsu in 12:10 with a Jumping Neckbreaker following a distraction from Katie Lea Burchill. The match was very back-and-forth, if not favoring Tatsu for a good portion of it.
Backstage, Randy Orton held a meeting with The Legacy, specifically ordering them to not interfere in his match with Triple H tonight since he knows he can win without their help.
Mickie James/Gail Kim/Maria defeated Maryse/Jillian Hall/Alicia Fox in 10:36 after Mickie hit the Mick Kick on Alicia.
Backstage, Shawn Michaels gave some final words to Todd Grisham before his match tonight, claiming there will be no hypocrisy when he makes true on his promise by kicking Jericho’s teeth down his throat.
Triple H defeated Randy Orton in 19:28 by disqualification following interference from Ted DiBiase Jr (Orton retains due to Champion’s Advantage). The match, up to that point was very back-and-forth, with Orton looking great as champ.
After the match, Orton began to yell at DiBiase for disobeying orders. Rhodes rushed down immediately to try and mediate the two, but DiBiase then stormed off, not even wanting to face Orton or Rhodes.
Backstage, CM Punk left some parting words before tonight’s Royal Rumble match, claiming no matter what number he has he will still dominate the match and win it easily.
Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Jericho in 31:50 with the Sweet Chin Music to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The match was very back-and-forth, no real big spots occurring until about midway or later in the match, with it becoming a pure showcase near the end.
(OOC: before the Rumble match begins, gonna note there is a big difference between quality for the first two entrants and the rest of ‘em. Frankly, if I wrote a full Rumble match out, that’d not only be a couple tens of thousands of words if not more, but also would tire me right out. When I said write-up, I meant more detailed results, essentially.)
Justin Roberts: ”The following contest is the Royal Rumble match! The rules are as follows:
The competitors who drew numbers 1 and 2 will start in the ring. Every ninety seconds, another superstar will enter the match. This will continue until all thirty superstars have entered the match. Elimination occurs when you are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last man standing after all twenty-nine other men have been eliminated will win the Royal Rumble, and will advance to the main event of Wrestlemania!”
Justin Roberts: ”Introducing the individual who drew #1…”

REMAINING IN THE RING: CM Punk, The Undertaker, Christian, John Cena, Batista, Edge, Sheamus
-------------------------------------------------
After a few moments of the competitors realizing no one else is coming out, the brawling resumes, outside of CM Punk who takes a breather in the corner. Soon, Batista and Taker are seen squaring off, the two trading punches back and forth, no signs of them slowing down. After a few more fists fly, Taker clearly has the disadvantage due to how long he’s been in the match. Batista grabs him, and tries to toss him out, but he clings to the apron! Sheamus rushes in for an attempted Brogue Kick, but Taker dodges it and shoves him back down into the ring, only for Batista to attack from behind and knock him off the apron!
THE UNDERTAKER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY BATISTA
Taker lies on the mat for a second, in shock at his elimination, but then sits up. He then slides into the ring after batting a referee away and hits Batista with a chokeslam! He hits one onto Sheamus, Cena, Christian, and Edge as well before finally leaving the ringside area. CM Punk stands up, surveying the damages, and lifts up Batista before throwing him out!
BATISTA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY CM PUNK
By the time he has tossed him out, Sheamus and Edge are back up, although Edge is clutching his neck. He turns to Sheamus, telling him they should team up on him, but before any action can be done, Cena gets up and hits a shoulder tackle on Sheamus! Then a second! Punk swings, and is dropped with the proto-plex! He goes for the Five Knuckle Shuffle to Punk, but Sheamus interrupts by grabbing hold of him and trying to go to toss him out! Cena counters it though, and sends Sheamus clean over the top rope!
SHEAMUS HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY JOHN CENA
IT IS DOWN TO THE FINAL FOUR! Punk, Cena, Edge, and Christian! The four men take to a different corner. They look around at one another, Punk breathing heavily from his time in the Rumble, until Edge and Christian give each other a nod and the two begin double-teaming Cena! They beat him down, Punk taking a breather, but it still isn’t enough to keep Cena down! He manages to fight Edge off, and drops Christian with the Proto-Plex! Five Knuckle Shuffle to Christian! But when he gets up, Edge is there and hits him with a Spear before throwing him over the top!
JOHN CENA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY EDGE
He doesn’t get much time to celebrate it though as once he turns around, he is caught by a head kick from CM Punk! He goes to lift up Edge for the Go 2 Sleep...but Christian rushes in and attacks Punk! Edge falls precariously onto the apron, but manages to hang on! Christian tosses Punk over, but he hangs on as well. Punk manages to find his footing on the apron, and begins to battle for survival against Christian, the two trading blows with Christian clearly the fresher of the two men. Eventually, he goes for a shoulder tackle to the midsection but Punk dodges it and kicks Christian right in the head, forcing him to retreat...but gets Speared by Edge and falls to the floor!
CM PUNK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY EDGE
In the meanwhile though, Christian has gotten up and attacks Edge from behind! He manages to cling on somehow, and while Christian celebrates believing he has won, Edge gets back into the ring! He tries to spear Christian…BUT IT GETS COUNTERED AND CHRISTIAN TOSSES EDGE OVER THE TOP! HE LANDS ON THE APRON AGAI-SPEAR BY CHRISTIAN! EDGE FALLS TO THE FLOOR!!!
Justin Roberts: ”HERE IS YOUR WINNER OF THE 2010 ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH, CHRISTIAN!!!!!”
As Edge writhes on the floor below, holding his neck once again, Christian ascends the turnbuckle and basks in the cheers from the fans, as he has punched his ticket towards headlining Wrestlemania 26 for either world title! He points out to his Peeps, before re-focusing his point towards the Wrestlemania sign. The show closes as pyro erupts around the sign, Christian looking on, finally seeming to surpass his tag team partner by doing what he could not do: win the Royal Rumble.

Monday, Week 1, February 2010
It has been reported that Greg Marasciulo, otherwise known as Trent Barreta, has re-signed with the WWE for 5 years worth an estimated $384,000
Monday, Week 1, February 2010
Monday Night Raw results
The show began with CM Punk coming out to the ring. He once again dubbed Cena as a hypocrite for continually making promises that he couldn’t keep. He is then interrupted by Cena who mocks Punk both for losing after getting so far into the match, meaning he is also a hypocrite since he claimed he’d win, and for not even being the one who eliminated him in the match. Out then comes Sheamus, who talks about how he had gotten the golden number in the Rumble, #30, and still lost because he got targeted immediately. If they had gone after the two best buddies who were both still in there, then maybe one of them could have had a chance at winning. Cena shuts him up, saying that it wasn’t Edge or Christian who eliminated him but rather Cena himself who did it, but then out comes Vickie Guerrero. She announces that Raw will host an Elimination Chamber match come No Way Out, with Randy Orton defending his WWE Title in the match against five others who will qualify these next few weeks. However, she announces that due to making the final four, Cena and CM Punk will automatically be added, as will Triple H due to his DQ win at the Royal Rumble.
Shawn Hernandez def. Eric Escobar in 7:50 with the Border Toss. The match was a complete squash, Escobar being decimated by Hernandez in his debut.
Backstage, Cody Rhodes walks into the locker room and tries to talk to Ted DiBiase about what happened at Royal Rumble, but Ted refuses to give any answers and simply storms out.
Jay Lethal def. Charlie Haas in 10:46 with a Top Rope Elbow Drop.
Triple H def. Tyson Kidd in 11:04 with the Pedigree.
CM Punk def. Tyler Reks in 10:10 with the Go 2 Sleep.
Backstage, Evan Bourne cut a promo hyping his performance in the Rumble match, and although he got no eliminations he is proud about the number he drew and how he handled himself in the match.
In the main event, RVD and Rey Mysterio def. The Legacy in 13:57 after a combo of the 619 and Five Star Frog Splash to Ted DiBiase. The match was back-and-forth, not wanting to make The Legacy look like anything but a top team on Raw.
Wednesday, Week 1, February 2010
It has been reported that Chavo Guerrero Jr has re-signed with the WWE for 2 years worth an estimated $312,000.
Friday, Week 1, February 2010
It has been reported that Dawson Alexander, otherwise known down in FCW as David Otunga, has re-signed with the WWE for 3 years at an estimated $147,600.
Friday, Week 1, February 2010
Friday Night Smackdown results
In the opening match, John Morrison def. Lance Cade in 11:04 with the Moonlight Drive.
Backstage, Edge and Christian are both seen hanging out, discussing the Royal Rumble, Edge’s return, etc. when in walks Theodore Long. He says that he’s sorry to break the conversation, but Edge has a match tonight: a 1v1 match with R-Truth, the winner enters the Elimination Chamber match. He also tells Christian he has to choose what title he goes for by No Way Out.
Vance Archer def. Shelton Benjamin in 10:28 with a Moonsault.
In their WWE debut, The Motor City Machine Guns def. Regal & Burchill in 11:05 after they hit Regal with the Made In Detroit.
Backstage, Batista cut a promo talking about his Rumble loss, but still sounding proud of eliminating Undertaker.
Mickie James def. Katie Lea Burchill in 8:58 with the Mick Kick.
Backstage, Shawn Michaels cut a promo hyping himself up as still being the World Heavyweight Champion, and that come the end of No Way Out he still will be champion.
In the main event, Edge def. R-Truth in 16:27 with the Spear.
